The Mithras Piano Trio was formed in 2017 when the players were studying at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In 2019 they won 1^st prize at the Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition, the Cavatina Intercollegiate Chamber Music Competition and received the Royal Philharmonic Society Henderson Award. From 2021-2023 they were Radio 3 New Generation Artists, recording a series of broadcast concerts. They have performed in many of the major venues in the UK, as well as in Europe and North America. Passionate exponents of contemporary music, they have worked alongside composers and given world premieres of several works.
