Tunnell award winners 2017

Maharaj Degavino Duo Formed in 2017. Meera Maharaj and Dominic Degavino are both current postgraduate students in London, at the Royal Academy of Music and Guildhall School respectively. In 2017, they won the Royal Academy of Music Flute Prize. They are current winners of the Tunnell Trust award and look forward to a tour of Scotland in 2020 .

Meera won the Dutch International Flute Competition and gained 3rd prize in the British Flute Society “Young Artist” Competition.

Dominic has achieved competition success, including winning the RNCM Gold Medal Competition, 3rd Prize at the Concours International de Piano at Epinal in France, and keyboard section prizes of both the Tunbridge Wells International Young Concert Artists Competition and the 2017 Royal Over-Seas League Arts Competition.

Between them they have performed at Concertgebouw, Wigmore Hall, Bridgewater Hall, Cadogan Hall, Edinburgh Festival and more.
