This will be the Brodsky's third visit to Kelso, on this occasion with Martin Roscoe and with our old friend Gina McCormack now as their new leader.  Gina joins a quartet who have been together since their school days for over 40 years.

Martin Roscoe is one of the best loved pianists in the UK. He has performed in seven Proms and has made more than 500 broadcasts for Radio 3.as well as performing world wide as soloist, recitalist and chamber musician.

Since forming in 1972, the Brodsky Quartet have performed over 3,000 concerts on the major stages of the world and have released more than 60 recordings. A natural curiosity and an insatiable desire to explore has propelled the group in a number of artistic directions and continues to ensure them not only a prominent presence on the international chamber music scene, but also a rich and varied musical existence.

“…Anyone who knows the Brodskys would have been surprised had their performance not been top drawer, penetrating the heart and soul of a work that, like so much of Tchaikovsky's music, has a strong sense of autobiography. The fantastic and deeply moving account of the work by this great group did all of these things… that music drew something very special from these peerless players: they were deep beneath the surface, right in the engine room of the soul of the music…”
